A Matter of Truth: The Struggle for African Heritage & Indigenous People for Equal Rights in Providence, Rhode Island (1620-2020) is a 2021 report developed with the Mayor of Providence’s African American Ambassador Group and written by the RI Black Heritage Society and the 1696 Heritage Group. Come explore the findings of the report in this exhibition by the RI Black Heritage Society, hosted by Secretary of State Gregg Amore in the Rhode Island State House.
